Welcome to the Miami-Dade Resources Recovery Facility, operated by Montenay Power Corp. This facility is the largest and most comprehensive waste-to-energy facility in the world. It processes more than 1.2 million tons of garbage and trash per year, amounting to 4,200 tons per day and enough to fill the Orange Bowl Stadium in one year.
Montenay Power Corp. is committed to sharing with the public the benefits of the facility, the waste-to-energy industry, and the important role we play in protecting the environment and preserving natural assets. Each year we host visitors from local schools and colleges, government officials from around the world, as well as visitors from organizations such as the Boyscouts, the Girlscouts, the Science Engineering Communication Mathematics Enhancement Program and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Since 1999 we have hosted over 3,000 visitors at our facility.
